RISING STAR AWARD
OTOJA ABIT
This year The Bushwick Film Festival presented the 3nd Annual Rising Star Award to BFF alum, actor and director Otaja Abit.
The Rising Star Award was created to acknowledge Bushwick Film Festival alumni who have broken new ground in the Film and TV industry and are achieving notable levels of success. It’s a testament to the recipient’s hard work and to the festival’s continued commitment to give incredibly talented filmmakers and creators a spotlight.
In 2018, BFF had the honor of screening Abit’s short film JITTERS which is now streaming on Amazon. He is currently in post production for his debut feature New York Christmas Wedding starring Chris Noth and Tyra Ferrell.
