SYNOPSIS:

When playwright Claire is invited to set her latest political work at a rural theatre company, her fiance Monica tags along for a much-needed vacation. Upon encountering Mutty, an enigmatic neighbor with a gross lack of social boundaries, Monica’s hope for a quiet vacation, and perhaps her very sanity, are thrown into utter jeopardy.

DIRECTOR BIO:

Theodore Collatos is a Brooklyn based filmmaker and a Creative Capital Grant Finalist (2014) for his documentary “Queen of Lapa” now in the beginning stages of post-production. It’s about Luana Muniz, who recently passed away during filming and her safe house for trans sex workers, in Rio de Janeiro. “Tormenting the Hen” premiered at IFFBoston and is playing at festivals in 2017 and was featured in Filmmaker Magazine, Indiewire, Fandor and Film Pulse. Hammer to Nail called it, “Meticulously crafted.” His film “Dipso” premiered in competition at EntreVues Belfort Festival du Film and won Best Film at Athens Film & Video Festival. It is available on Fandor and Kinoscope along with past shorts “Time” (2015) which premiered on Short of the Week and “Albatross” (2016) which premiered on Filmmaker Magazine. Collatos is a contributor for Fandor and Talkhouse film and has been profiled on Filmmaker Magazine, Toute le Culture, Chronic’Art, L’Humanite, Huffington Post, Billboard, Screen Anarchy, Twitchfilm, Film Pulse, Filmwax Radio and NoBudge.
