SYNOPSIS:
This war drama set in Russia during World War II revolves around Pavel Zubov, a school teacher, whose village became occupied by the fascists. A certain chain of events changes the way he perceives life and puts him back to reality. In this time of war, he must make an uneasy choice to either survive and adapt to the new regime or fight for his family, love, homeland, ideals and beliefs.

Director Sergei Mokritskiy’s 2nd feature, following the cinematic success of RED SNIPER released in Russia earlier this year. I Am a Teacher is the story of one man and his battle to protect his family and loved ones. An untold story of Nazi-occupied Russia, the film shows us the human story of the conflict. Shot beautifully and sympathetically told, this is a story of love and sacrifice.
